This Ayers-Derrie Family History website is dedicated to my parents, Ira Ayers and Helen Derrie, who greatly inspired and encouraged me in all things.

Alex Haley, the popular author of the book Roots said

This family history website is all about our heritage.  It is intended to share information about the ancestors of Ira Ayers and his wife Helen Derrie, who are no longer with us, but still very much loved and remembered.

The website is meant to be a companion to the Ayers-Derrie Family Tree website which will still be used to display family tree relationships, including source information.  The primary purpose of using a complimentary Family History Website is to have a more free flowing resource to:

— Share in depth family history research with others

— Share family stories between family members

— Work with other family members to preserve our family history

— Bring together family members, news, and information under one resource

Although it is now a public website, this site cannot be discovered by search engines, so there is a low level of privacy.
